He has been featured in numerous publications and on CNN, and displays his work with six galleries.
Kevin Shea Outdoor Painting in Oils Workshops are informal in nature, with focus on patterns of outdoor light and atmosphere. On site demonstrations, as well as group, and individual instruction are integral to the course. Subject matter includes landscape, seascape, and city or village painting depending on workshop location. Generally, there are two sessions each day with a mid-day break. Times/locations announced and posted daily. Outdoor light, nature, and an encouraging group process have been pivotal experiences in the lives of many workshop and painting adventure participants.
These workshops emphasize the use of balance, proportion,
color and drawing to interpret outdoor subjects and atmosphere. Through demonstrations and individual instruction students will be shown the
tools and methods to exercise while capturing nature's fleeting moments
on site outdoors.
